As you all know, we attended the OECD High Level meeting on the Internet economy, where so many distinguished speakers contributed to the event. There were Ministers, officials, policy makers, industry leaders and Internet evangelists but also civil society and technical communities. Around 400 people attended the meeting, focused on 5 main topics such as broadband access, the role of broadband and innovation in the social and economic growth, balancing policy goals to strengthen growth and finally policy-making principles for an open Internet.

As a yearly meeting, from the 11th to the 17th July, the Spanish City of Arts and Science, Valencia, will be hosting the XVth Anniversary of Campus Party and Telefónica is part of this relevant event! Telefónica will bring the technological part with IPv6 and LTE solutions, especially for the event!

After having launched almost a year ago the Digital Agenda for Europe , one of the seven flagship initiatives of the Europe 2020 Strategy and a roadmap for the increased usage of ICT services in Europe, the European Commission is organising the first Digital Agenda Assembly for the next 16-17 of June in Brussels.

On 12th May the IGF Spain´s annual conference took place in Madrid. This event is the main platform for debate among all stakeholders on Internet Governance in Spain and provides a way for all interested parties to exchange views. This year it focused on public policy issues in relation to the sustainability and robustness of the Internet.

On Thursday 14 April 2011, the Auditorium in the Telefónica Flagship Store in Madrid will host the public meeting presenting the basic issues that will be dealt with in the annual event of the Internet Governance Forum in Spain (IGF Spain) on the next 12 May in Madrid.
