Comment policy
We are looking forward to hearing from you as this is the objective of this blog. However, in order to make it useful for everybody, please try to make your comments on one solely topic at the same time and already raised in a post of the blog.
We also ask you in your comments to be courteous, polite and avoid rude and unfruitful remarks. More specifically, we request you to avoid obscene, racist, offensive or sexually explicit, inappropriate comments or similar.
For your information, Telefónica will systematically review all comments posted in this blog before they are made public and we reserve our right to reject or ban comments if we consider these to be irrelevant and not in line with our Blog content.
All decisions on content posting, rejection and removal are entirely at the discretion of Telefónica.
We reserve the right to ban future posts from commenter’s who repeatedly violate our Comment Policy and we may effect such bans by refusing posts from specific email addresses or IP addresses, or through other means as necessary.
Because we review comments, they do not appear immediately. Please do not resubmit comments more than once.
We also require — but will not publish — your valid e-mail address before posting a comment to our Blog. Your name and entire comment will be public. Do not post private information or any information you do not want to be publicly available.
One final note: If you have an issue with a Telefónica service that requires support from Customer Care, please visit your Telefónica Customer Support in the country where you are a customer or send us a mail. We are happy to help you, but support issues are beyond the scope and purpose of this Blog.

TELEFÓNICA S.A. advises users of the Telefónica Public Policy Blog that the companies comprising the TELEFÓNICA S.A. Group abide by current Spanish legislation on matters of personal data protection, users’ privacy and the secrecy and security of personal data, as provided in Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, governing Personal Data Protection and in Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December, which approve the Regulations that develop Organic Law 15/1999, by adopting the necessary technical and organisational measures to avoid the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access or theft of the personal data provided, taking into account the state of the technology used, the nature of the data and the risks to which it is exposed.
Specifically, TELEFÓNICA S.A. informs users of its Blog that personal data can only be obtained for processing if they are appropriate, pertinent, and not excessive for the determined area and ends, explicit and legitimate, for which they were obtained. They will be cancelled when they are no longer necessary or pertinent for these ends, or when their owner requests they be cancelled.
When Telefónica Public Policy Blog gathers personal data, users shall receive clear and specific prior notification of the following:
- The existence of a file or processing of data of a personal nature, the reasons for gathering such data and the recipients of this information.
- Recording of the file in the Data Protection Agency’s Register.

- Name and address of those responsible for data processing.
All responsibility for the completion of forms with false, inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information shall be that of the user.
Any transfer of the personal data of users of this portal to third parties shall be duly communicated to those affected, specifying the identity of the recipients of the data and the uses to which they will be put.
